The Author

Daniel Otis writes from a terrace perched above the exhaust and incense tangle of Phnom Penh, Cambodia. He has a degree in political science and philosophy from the University of Toronto and is close to finishing a Master of Fine Arts in creative writing at the University of British Columbia. Daniel currently works as a freelance journalist and a lecturer of English literature. The White Elephant of Attapeu will be his first novel.
